Ingredients
For The Brownies:
- 15.25 oz strawberry cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
For The Glaze:
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tablespoons milk, as needed
- 2 tablespoons strawberry preserves
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper or grease it well.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until fully combined.
3. Add the strawberry cake mix and salt, then stir with a spatula until a thick batter forms and the cake mix is fully incorporated.
4. Scoop the batter into the prepared pan and spread it out evenly with a spatula.
5. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until the edges are set and the center is slightly puffed. Check doneness with a toothpick, then let the brownies cool in the pan.
6. To make the glaze, mix the powdered sugar, strawberry preserves, and milk in a small bowl until smooth and pourable.
7. Once the brownies have cooled, drizzle the glaze evenly over the top and spread if needed. Let it set before slicing and serving.
Notes
If the glaze is too thick, add a little more milk to thin it out.
If the glaze is too thin, stir in a bit more powdered sugar until it reaches the right consistency.
The brownies can be enjoyed right away, but letting the glaze set will give the best finish.
