Ingredients
8 large fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
4 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 cup light brown sugar
1 box (approx 15oz) yellow cake mix
14 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, toss the sliced peaches with 2 tablespoons of melted butter, cornstarch, brown sugar, and cinnamon until coated.
Pour the peach mixture into the prepared baking dish.
Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the layer of peaches.
Drizzle the remaining 14 tablespoons of melted butter over the top of the cake mix, ensuring most of the surface is covered.
Bake for 40-45 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the fruit filling is bubbling.
Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
You can substitute fresh peaches with canned or frozen peaches; just ensure they are drained well if using syrup-based canned fruit. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a truly decadent experience. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
