Description

A warm, buttery dessert with a crumbly crust, sweet peach filling, and a crunchy crumble topping. These easy-to-make bars balance tender fruit and cinnamon-spiced texture, perfect for summer or any season with frozen peaches.


Ingredients

Scale

Crust: 2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup (227g) butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

Filling: 4 large peaches, peeled and chopped
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp vanilla extract

Topping: 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup (113g) butter, melted
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup quick oats
1 tsp ground cinnamon
0.5 tsp ground nutmeg


Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C)
Line a 13×9 inch baking pan with parchment paper
In a bowl, mix crust ingredients until crumbly
Press 1/2 the crust mixture into the pan as the base
Set aside remaining crust for topping

In another bowl, mash peaches with fork
Stir in filling ingredients until well combined
Spread over the crust base

Mix topping ingredients until crumbs form
Sprinkle over the peach filling
Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden
Cool completely before slicing into bars


Notes

Swap peaches with seasonal fruits like apples or cherries
Use frozen sliced peaches thawed and drained for off-season baking
Storage: Keep in airtight container for up to 5 days
Add chopped nuts for extra texture if desired
