Description

A creamy, layered dessert with ripe bananas, vanilla pudding, and Nilla Wafers. Perfect for comfort or special occasions, this halal-friendly version uses sweetened condensed milk and whipped cream for a decadent texture without violating dietary restrictions.

Ingredients

Scale

1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1 ½ cups cold milk
2 tbsp vanilla extract
⅛ tsp salt
68 ripe bananas, sliced
2 cups Nilla Wafers
1 ½ cups whipped cream
¼ cup powdered sugar, for dusting
1 tbsp chocolate sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, whisk sweetened condensed milk, cold milk, vanilla extract, and salt until fully combined.
Layer half the Nilla Wafers in a 9×13-inch glass baking dish.
Spread half the pudding mixture over the first layer of wafers.
Layer sliced bananas on top of the pudding.
Repeat with remaining wafers, pudding, and bananas.
Top with whipped cream and powdered sugar.
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

Use the ripest bananas for maximum sweetness and flavor.
Nilla Wafers will soften in the pudding, creating a custard-soaked texture.
Whipped cream adds a light contrast; for halal compliance, ensure non-alcohol vanilla extract.
Store unopened in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
