Ingredients
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (crust)
3/4 cup granulated sugar (combined for crust & streusel)
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened (crust)
1 large egg (crust)
1/2 teaspoon salt (crust)
4 ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon lemon zest
2/3 cup brown sugar (streusel)
2/3 cup all-purpose flour (streusel)
1/4 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed (streusel)
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (streusel)
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (streusel)
3/4 cup pure maple syrup (final drizzle)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F
In a bowl, mix crust ingredients until crumbly
Press mixture into a greased 9-inch tart pan
Bake crust for 15 minutes until golden
Combine peaches, cornstarch, and lemon zest in a bowl
Arrange peach slices in the cooled crust
Mix streusel ingredients in a separate bowl
Sprinkle streusel evenly over peaches
Return tart to oven and bake 30 minutes
Cool tart completely
Drizzle with maple syrup before serving
Notes
Tarts can be prepared in advance and reheated
Store leftovers refrigerated for 2-3 days
Omit nutmeg for a simpler spice profile
