A no-bake dessert capturing the iconic chocolate peanut butter combo. Creamy filling with chopped peanut butter cups in a chocolatey crust, topped with whipped cream and candy pieces for a festive finish.
Ingredients
2 cups chocolate sandwich cookies (e.g., Oreos)
¼ cup granulated sugar
½ cup melted non-hydrogenated vegetable shortening
2 (8 oz) packages full-fat cream cheese, softened
1 cup smooth peanut butter
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup non-dairy whipped topping
¾ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
½ cup chopped salted peanuts (optional)
1 cup crushed Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
1 tsp vanilla extract (non-alcoholic)
Cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions
Process cookies in a food processor until finely crushed
Mix with shortening and sugar, press into a 9-inch pie dish
In a bowl, beat cream cheese and peanut butter until smooth
Fold in powdered sugar, whipped topping, and vanilla extract
Stir in chocolate chips, cocoa powder, chopped candies, and peanuts
Pour mixture into crust, smooth top, and refrigerate 4 hours
Top with whipped cream and additional candy pieces before serving
Notes
For halal version, substitute shortening with non-hydrogenated coconut oil
Can be made dairy-free using vegan cream cheese and non-dairy whipped topping
Store refrigerated for up to 3 days
