Ingredients
Store-bought puff pastry (6–8 oz)
1/2 cup almond flour
1/2 cup softened butter
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tsp almond extract
Pinch of salt
1 cup fresh strawberries, cut into halves or small pieces
Optional: 1 egg yolk mixed with 1 tbsp milk (for egg wash finish)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
Roll out puff pastry and cut into 6-inch rounds
Transfer dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
In a bowl, mix almond flour, softened butter, powdered sugar, egg yolk, salt, and almond extract until smooth
Spread the almond filling evenly over each pastry round, leaving a 1/2-inch border
Arrange strawberry pieces on top
Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden and crisp
Optional: Brush with egg wash and return to oven for 2 more minutes for added shine
Cool slightly before serving
