Ingredients
1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
12 ounces fresh blueberries
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup granulated sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1 pinch fine sea salt
1 cup all-purpose flour
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, toss the strawberries, blueberries, lemon juice, 1/2 cup sugar, cornstarch, and salt until the fruit is evenly coated.
Transfer the fruit mixture into a baking dish.
In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the flour, 2/3 cup sugar, and cinnamon.
Cut the cold butter into the flour mixture using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse, pea-sized crumbs.
Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the fruit base.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the fruit filling is bubbling and the topping is golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve warm, ideally with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven before serving.
