Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking powder
3/4 cup sour cream (alcohol-free)
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup cherries, stemmed and halved (fresh or maraschino)
2 tbsp cherry juice (from canned cherries, alcohol-free)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper
In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and cocoa powder
Add softened butter and sugar; mix until smooth
Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla
Pour batter into the pan and spread evenly
Bake 20-22 minutes until set
Let cool completely
In a separate bowl, whip cream cheese, sour cream, and salt until smooth
